As we near the end of the current age, interest in prophecy has (quite rightly) greatly increased, and with this increase has come the emergence of many conferences devoted to teaching Biblical prophecy. Our location in Winkler, Manitoba has historically been a strongly Christian area, but this influence has waned as the world encroached on the daily lives of the citizens and the faith of our forefathers. Even though in the past Mennonite teaching has not emphasized the prophetic portions of the Word of God this changed over time and it became clear that the area was ripe for a conference of this nature.
2024 will mark the twentieth iteration of this work, and we hope and trust that God will bless this event as He graciously has in the past, and yet more.
Statement of Faith
Reproduced below is the statement of faith that we, as the committee for this conference, have made.*
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Received Text known as the King James Bible in the English language, and therewith the infallibility of the Holy Scripture, which is God’s Word.
We believe in the eternal Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that in the beginning of the world, God created all that is in six days; and that this creation was very good; but our first parents, deceived by Satan, disobeyed God; and that this rebellion corrupted their good nature to a depraved and rebellious one, which all their descendants have inherited.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, shed His blood to save mankind, and was resurrected bodily.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died in the place of each individual sinner and that all who believe in Him as their personal Saviour are justified through His shed blood and have become a child of God; and that outside of Christ there is no other way to be saved.
We believe that Israel is God’s chosen people, and that the restoration of the Jews in their own land is the fulfillment of the Word of God.
We believe in the pre-tribulational appearance of Jesus Christ for the Rapture of His Church (all born-again believers).
We believe in the immortality of our souls and the resurrection of our bodies.
We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
